A year at our school
Wellbeing
At Parramatta Public School, wellbeing comes first. Through our Positive Behaviour for Learning programs and social-emotional learning experiences, every student is supported to thrive. Our learners develop the skills and strategies to live our values - being Respectful, Responsible and Safe - both in and out of the classroom.
Gardening
Our Rooftop Garden is a space where curiosity and sustainability flourish. Students take part in planting, nurturing and harvesting, gaining hands-on experience with environmental care while connecting learning to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Watching the plants grow - and our students grow alongside them - has been a highlight of our school journey.
Literacy, Numeracy & Student Showcases
Student Showcases shine a spotlight on the incredible literacy and numeracy learning across all Key Learning Areas. Recently, Stage 3 students brought Geography to life, deepening intercultural understanding for families and peers, while Stage 2 students shared powerful insights into Aboriginal History and colonisation. These showcases not only celebrate knowledge but also empower students to communicate with confidence and purpose.
The showcase was phenomenal. I was impressed with the knowledge base of the students and the presentation of information.
